Do you Have Difficulty Charging Money for the Work You Do

“You have to be generous if you want to spend your time making someone else dinner. Even if you’re charging, you’re still giving”. – Mario Batali

You need want to be able to charge for your services but maybe you feel weird about it.

Maybe even be comfortable enough to charge your friends and relatives too.

Is it “spiritual” to charge people money for the work they do?

There is nothing wrong with trying to earn a buck, we gotta eat right?

People in our society have a belief that certain services should be free. More specifically, services that offer information should be free.

Examples would be intuitive readings, channeled messages, consultations  and even blogs.

Information is free and available to all, the question is, are you willing to get it yourself?

If not then you will have to offer something of value in exchange for it. People charge money to pay for the service of it being delivered to them.

Whatever “it” may be.

Just as we could easily grow our own vegetable garden ourselves.

We also have the option of going to a grocery store or farmers market and paying money to someone else for delivering it to us.

There must be some type of energy exchange and money is a form of energy.

Let’s say that you run a profitable business from home earning “killer income.” Would it benefit you to cut your own grass or pay someone else to do it?

What if you were averaging $100 an hour?

Wouldn’t it be wise to pay someone $ 20 an hour to do the work for you saving you time and energy.

How much would you be willing to pay someone to cut your grass for you?

Would you make it worth their while? Or would you not want give fair value in exchange for their service/energy?

This is known as undervaluing someone and it always comes back to bite us in the end.

Words of wisdom, pay people well as if you were paying someone of “royalty.”

Money is typically the first choice of exchange of paying for services, but there are other ways as well. Gifts, bartering, swapping, trading and so on.

One form of energy exchange that I am seeing a lot more of today is bartering.

Now I now bartering pre-dates “money” but I am talking about modern-day usage. There are websites devoted to swapping and bartering like, and

Just Google barter/trading websites and you will see a ton of websites listed. Use at your own discretion.

Money Is Not Inherently Evil

Money is not evil and it does not carry a negative vibration.

We’ve all heard the saying, “Money Is The Root Of All Evil.”

This is bull and don’t swallow that pill. It was probably created by someone who is lacking abundance in their thoughts, words, and actions.

There may be a time in the future when money is no longer used as a vehicle of exchange of value, but now it is the most commonly used form.

It is totally acceptable to receive money for services provided. How much you decide to value yourself at is only limited by the amount of value that you contribute.

Don’t be shy.

At this time we function in a reality where money is an acceptable and valid form of exchange equal to any other form of valid exchange.

Money Abundance

To Deny Money for the work you have done

You would have to refuse the money system altogether in order to deny yourself or someone else money.

It would be like refusing a paycheck for your work and refusing to pay for groceries.

You wouldn’t last very long in our society like this unless you were able to create a way to sustain yourself without the need for money.

I do believe that more people will begin to live “off” of the grid as a way of safeguarding themselves to the uncertainty of money and credit. To each their own.

Money is a tool that is best used to create win-win situations.

Blogging in my backyard,

Blogging and Making Money

If you have a blog and haven’t been able to “earn a living” out of it, then I would suggest that you check your beliefs about money.

Gradually, I am earning money with my blog month after month. It is more than adding PPC ads or promoting affiliate links.

It’s all about beliefs and focus. Probloggers like Darren Rowse, John Chow, Yaro Starak, and Steve Pavlina are earning a “great” living through blogging.

I have read about the early days of these guys and their story isn’t much different from the average newbie blogger.

No traffic, no income and not very good at blogging yet all four of these pros overcame obstacles (mostly mental) and are now world known in the blogosphere earning tens of thousands a month from their blog.

The only difference between them and unsuccessful bloggers is their beliefs.

I began examining my beliefs about blogging and money and changed them to something that is more aligned with what I want to create.

Gradually income is making its way towards me. I haven’t turned it on full blast yet, but I am working my way towards that.

Focus And Attention

“Successful people maintain a positive focus in life no matter what is going on around them.

They stay focused on their past successes rather than their past failures, and on the next action steps they need to take to get them closer to the fulfillment of their goals rather than all the other distractions that life presents to them.” – Jack Canfield

I have also noticed something else lately in regards to focus and attention. For starters, I never have done much research in social media until recently. Mainly Twitter and Facebook.

I use them both but haven’t really done much with them. Recently I have focused my attention on them both and as a result my Twitter followers and Facebook fans has increased.

Energy flows where attention goes.

If you haven’t already I would sincerely appreciate it if you would like me on Facebook and follow me on Twitter. I will return the favor in kind.

Anyway, what does this have to do with money and abundance?

If I can use attention and focus to increase my followers and fans why couldn’t I use it to create more blog income.

The only thing that would prevent me from earning income through my blog would be negative beliefs about money.

Once they are removed it just becomes a simple matter of attention, focus, and action.

Removing Negative Beliefs About Money

Most if not all of us want to be financially wealthy.

We want to be able to do what we want when we want to do it.

Imagine having enough money to go to a car dealership and buying any car on the lot that you want and paying for it in cash. Sounds awesome doesn’t it.

But for how many people here is this a reality?

Most of us would have to finance it for five or six years and when it is finally paid off it isn’t worth much and were lucky if it is still running.

Let’s work on creating such a reality for ourselves.

The Real Power

Truth be known, we don’t need money in order to create the society that we choose.

The real power, the real value is in our own personal energy and our ability to create. Money is just an expression of that.

When we value ourselves and believe and know that we deserve money, abundance will follow.

I know you still aren’t comfortable asking for money when you do something and I get it.

You need to change your beliefs about yourself, how you value yourself and also the fact that money is not good or bad, it is neutral.
