Set your Mind to Reach your Goals

| February 19, 2011

Before you can create anything in your reality; you must set your mind.

Having the proper mindset is all that it takes to create what it is that you want.

The power of the mind is a magical thing once you begin to use it and understand it more.

When I decided to create Mazzastick.com; I had to set my mind in order to do it. Setting your mind is like setting your GPS  before traveling.

You must set your destination in the GPS in order for it to direct you there. You must set the destination in your mind in order for it to direct you there as well. The GPS system would be a metaphor for your mind.

Let’s say for example that you want to pay your bills on- time; instead of always being late. In your mind and body; feel what it is like to pay your bills on time. Imagine your credit score rising and the feelings of self-esteem that will follow.

This will get your emotions involved in which you can literally ” ride”  your emotions all the way to your destination. Your emotions become the fuel to get you to where you want to be.

What will happen as a result of setting your mind is that a new habit will be created. The reason you developed a habit of paying your bills late or not at all;  is because you had at one time set your mind that way.

The good news is that you can re-set your mind in a more empowering direction.

Next, set your mind to the coordinates of paying bills on time. To set your mind; all you have to do is keep focusing on your destination, and incorporate the feelings that go with it. This will create a new pattern in your thoughts about paying bills on time.

Paying bills on time is just an example that I used, because it is a common problem. Most of us set our mind without really being conscious of it. I am not teaching you anything that you don’t already use.

But if you know the exact formula; you can use mind-setting at will; instead of by default. This will give you the ability to consciously create your life. You will be like a web designer constantly tweaking and updating your website until you get it right.

I have set my mind to create many different outcomes; here are just a few examples.

  • Getting up early.
  • Arriving on time or early to obligations/appointments.
  • Losing 35 Lbs of.
  • Paying bills on time.
  • Rehabbing my home.
  • Earning Money.
  • Maintaining relationships.
  • Bench Pressing 300 lbs.
  • Created a vegetable and herb garden.
  • Keeping my home clean regularly.
  • Getting my blog’s Alexa ranking to 72K Worldwide and 21K U.S.
  • Earning monthly passive income with my blog.

The main way that I can easily set and achieve my goals is through a proper mindset. In order to do this I relax my mind and body through meditation and deep breathing exercises.

Once I am in a very relaxed mindset I begin to feed my subconscious mind positive affirmations like, ” Money flows to me effortlessly and easily.” I kid you not, after I program my subconscious mind through affirmations what I suggested always comes to me.

The funny thing now is that what I want is manifesting into my life much quicker then it used to.

This is so true. I'd like to stress the importance of emotion. Emotion, emotion, emotion! Nothing you do will ever have any influence on your subconscious mind unless you do it with powerful emotion.

I do something similar to this. I printed out a goal on a piece of paper and stuck it to my white board. Each time I go to bed and when I wake up in the morning, I say it while imagining that it's already true, and I really create positive emotions around it.

It does wonders for helping me stay focused, and I'm leaning towards it having some real, subtle power to shift the universe in my favor.

Emotion is created by motion, you have to use emotion to get your body moving. I believe anything in life is possible to achieve if you can learn how to use your emotions properly. It's a skill like anything else, and can be learned with some persistence. The reason why it is so important to write things down is because we tend to easily forget.
